Litigation

Our litigation lawyers have represented clients in all levels of the Court in British Columbia as well as appearing before administrative panels and in arbitrations.

Litigation lawyers (also known as a barristers) are courtroom lawyers. However, not all litigators’ time is spent in court – we provide legal advice, prepare legal opinions, and negotiate on behalf of our clients, just like solicitors do (although they do so on different issues than solicitors). Litigators also deal with the court process, as well as pre-court measures such as mediation, arbitration and administrative tribunals. Our work includes drafting pleadings, attending examinations for discovery, preparation for hearings and, of course, advocacy. It can be said that a litigator assists clients once problems have arisen, especially where litigation is likely or underway.

Our Maple Ridge litigation lawyers have represented clients in all levels of the Court in British Columbia as well as appearing before administrative panels and in arbitrations. Our lawyers also have experience in and success with alternative forms of dispute resolution such as mediation, arbitration, negotiation and settlement conferences. We recognize that litigation can be an expensive, time consuming and intimidating process. We are committed to working with our clients to identify their needs and goals and to find creative and cost-effective means of problem-solving.
